How the BacklinkGPT agent works
The nightly loop — hunt, score, draft, digest — and where you stay in control.
The loop at a glance
Hunt
Every night the agent hunts for fresh link opportunities in your niche: competitor backlinks, resource pages, guest-post prospects, and brand mentions without a link.
Score & filter
Each prospect is checked against your product context and contact policies, then scored for relevance and authority. Weak or off-limits prospects never reach you.
Draft
For promising opportunities the agent finds the right contact and drafts a personalized email that references their actual content — no template blast.
Digest & send
You get a morning digest of everything the agent prepared. Depending on your approval settings, outreach goes out automatically or waits for your sign-off.
Nightly hunts
The agent works while you sleep. Hunts run on a nightly cadence scaled to your plan, so the pipeline refills continuously instead of in one big burst. If the agent finds nothing worth your attention, it says so — it doesn't pad the digest to look busy.
Scoring and relevance
Every prospect passes through the same funnel:
- Policy check — is the company on your off-limits or ask-me-first list?
- Relevance — does their content actually relate to your product and audience?
- Authority — is the linking domain worth the effort?
- Reachability — can we find a real person to write to?
Only prospects that clear all four make it into outreach drafts. Everything the agent decides is visible in the run log, so you can always answer "why did it pick this site?"
The morning digest
Once a day the agent summarizes what happened: new opportunities found, emails drafted and sent, replies received, and anything waiting for your approval. It's designed to be read in under a minute — the details are one click away in the app.
Replies
When a prospect replies, the thread lands in your inbox. The agent classifies the reply (interested, needs info, declined) and suggests a next step, but a human reply from you always takes priority over anything automated.
What the agent will never do
- Contact anyone on your off-limits list — see contact policies.
- Send from addresses you haven't connected.
- Spend credits without showing you where they went — see credits & billing.
